Established in 2008, Comfort Cavalry began as Antioch Heating & Cooling-from the back of Kevin and Emily McGrath's 1997 Ford Windstar. A decade later, the McGrath's "little HVAC company" has become a northern Illinois mainstay staffed by a stellar team of Home Comfort Heroes. We are veteran owned, family operated and proud to serve thousands of new and returning customers. Kevin studied HVAC controls and electrical circuits at Gateway Community College and graduated with honors from the Environmental Technical Institute. As part of the Local 597 Pipefitters Union, he worked on commercial rooftops, chillers and high-end residential equipment. Closing vents in an attempt to direct more air into certain rooms causes more harm then good. Restricted airflow leads to burnt out motors and overheated equipment. Solution: Have your duct plenums evaluated for proper construction and confirm your equipment is properly sized.
