Q.T. Contracting was established with the goal of returning to the business of providing heating and air conditioning service to the residential customers of Fayette and Coweta counties and the commercial and institutional entities throughout the State of Georgia. Elaine was formerly an officer and the CEO of Powers Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc., a locally owned and operated HVAC company from 1979 until 1999 in Fayette County. Tim Powers has over 30 years direct experience in bidding, supervising, and performing service and the installation of multiple commercial projects.
It can be hard to see the importance of cleaning your duct work if you don't understand what duct cleaning is all about. We at Powers are happy to help educate you in all areas of your air conditioning and heating system. To help breakdown the barrier between the mechanical minded customer and the non-mechanical mined customer we have some general explanations provided below. Ductwork is network of hollow material that allows air to flow from the indoor equipment to each room or designated area.
When you wake up in the morning to a cold house on a cold day, because your heating system has broken down during the night, that's the time to call Powers. When your system is sluggish, not quite keeping your house warm enough, that's the time to call Powers. When you haven't had your heating system serviced in a few years and you're not sure if it's working the way it should, that's the time to call Powers. But perhaps even better to call Powers before it's an issue, and to have a Powers Heating and Air Preventative Maintenance Agreement in place.
Preventative Maintenance and Stand-alone Checks can be scheduled during standard business hours, Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. The rat's nest damaged the electronic components and burned up the motor. We had to replace the whole furnace and rebuild the duct work. If they had a Preventative Maintenance, we would have caught this; then mastic and sealed the duct work and everything attached to the equipment. A rat built a nest inside the furnace, and brought insulation from other parts of the house.
Finding a temperature that everyone can agree upon is a challenge in most homes. We can add zoning to most new system installations or existing ductwork to resolve this complaint. Sometimes it is as simple as replacing, adding or removing ductwork to make your home more comfortable. Cleaning your ducts when you have your equipment replaced is a great idea. It can provide you the peace of mind knowing your heating and cooling system is new and your ducts has been refreshed and cleaned. Over time your ducts have collected particles and dust, no need to keep recycling them into your home when you can have a refreshed complete system.

After doing our homework and getting several different quotes, we decided to go with Powers Heatng and Air. We are very happy with this decision.
Just want to give thanks to Mr. John for fixing my A/C issue tonight. What a great, honest man you have working for you! His communication was great and kept me informed about everything that he was doing and about to do to solve the problem.
Can't say enough about the great family and folks over at Powers Heating and Air. This past week they installed a new furnace in our 1800 square foot home. Thank you, Ryan, for taking the time to consider our particular needs and explaining things clearly. And thanks to Richard and Chris for taking the time to make sure everything was done right, including all the clean up! Powers delivered what we contracted for in a timely and professional manner. We couldn't be happier with the service!
