The First Choice team is so very grateful to all for the local help in our SWLA communities. We are learning, however, that for many reasons, there may be a lack of resources and support for those that are still displaced. Our team, and some our friends in the transportation industry are trying to find a way to help get supplies and hot food to these evacuees, and we will post more information it becomes available. Hurricane Laura has devastated the Southwest Louisiana region. We are so very thankful for groups that are coming in with supplies, water, hot meals and help with debris removal. We are also grateful for the thousands of utility workers who have come from all over the US to repair the power grid infrastructure, working in the oppressive Louisiana heat and humidity, water, mosquitoes, snakes and dealing with other creatures who live in the uninhabitable areas that power lines pass through. Many.
