Builder's Electric, Inc has been serving Lane County since 1960. The firm was purchased in 1974 by Fred Wittkop PE to provide the first design/build electrical service in our operating area. At the time of purchase, the firm employed two electricians and owned two service vans. Today, 45 years later, the firm is family owned, managed by the second generation with 55 team members, 30 service vans, 3 bucket trucks, and 5 shop delivery trucks. Builder's Electric is a 100% locally owned and family operated business.
I love the people and ethics of this company. I highly recommend them.
Nice picture of the staff. We know a lot of great people work here.
Builder's Electric overcharges on hours and is not well organized! I had dealt with Builder's Electric for over 30 years for commercial and residential jobs. But it is not the same company as it had been. Recently I was overcharged for a very small job. While on the job, the journeyman was called out onto other jobs. At times, he did not show up because he was pulled to another job - and I was not informed. The job took almost a week and should have been done in 4 hours or less! Builder's Electric does not seem to be well-organized. I was charged for 10 hours labor on almost a $1000 bill for simply mending a couple of wires and putting in a doorbell. I wrote them a letter about this and I received a call back from the secretary or office manager. She simply said that the number of hours on the Builder's Electric bill is correct and that I am wrong. )) If it really took 10 hours for this small job, the journeyman must have been invisible. And if it really took 10 hours for this small job, then Builder's Electric is incompetent!
