Whether it's installing ageothermal systemor solar panel, Eastern Illini supports clean, renewable energy sources. We've also been recognized (through our wholesale power provider) as aRural Solar Champion! Our energy experts are available to help you as you decide if a renewable energy system is right for you. Of special note, please know that ourNet Metering Programis now fully subscribed. Any new systems coming online after July 21, 2020 willbe classified as aQualifying Facility(QF). Please also note that members that install a renewable energy system MUST own the system themselves.
We take great pride in providing you with safe and reliable electric service. There are times, though, when our best efforts aren't quite enough to keep your lights on. Our goal is to restore service to the greatest number of members in the shortest amount of time. Because of the interconnected nature of an electric distribution system, we must start our work at the power source and work out toward the individual services along the system. Hazardous conditions, such as downed power lines, must be attended to quickly.
