To provide our members safe, reliable, responsible, and affordable electric service consistent with sound business and engineering practices. To be conscientious stewards of our resources and adopters of beneficial new ideas and technologies, with clear and open communications, meeting competitive, political, and technological challenges of our industry. In the early part of the 20th century, society was divided into rural and urban, the haves and the have-nots. Electricity was the great divider.
MVEA, incorporated in 1941, is a not-for-profit electric cooperative owned and run by the members it serves. We provide electric service to a portion of eight counties located within a 5,000 square mile territory. A board of directors from seven different geographic districts and elected by the members, governs our business. Please contact the Mountain View Electric Association's office to verify your board district. For directions to our offices contact us through the LiveChat tab at the bottom of your screen.
