Two years before the giant stock market crash that led to the Great Depression, James R. Pierce decided to open up a new plumbing company in Oakland. During the next few years of turbulence and difficulty the company cut its teeth and took its first steps toward becoming a leading Bay Area Plumbing Contractor.
