When I was young, our family occasionally traveled to a big city and I remember being captivated by the variety of buildings. The tall ones especially grabbed my attention! I had a love for architecture, but that got tucked away for a few years. When I entered Auburn University, my plan was to pursue a degree in agriculture. However, my fascination with buildings and architecture resurfaced and changed the direction of my life. After graduating in 1984 with a degree in Building Science, I worked in commercial construction building large beach condos for a time.
