Adams Construction Services, Inc. is a family owned business based in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Thad Adams, President, has over 20 years experience in the residential construction field. Thad is a lifelong resident of Southern Indiana and a graduate of Indiana University Southeast (BS 1994). Thad's professional designations through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) include Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), Certified Green Professional (CGP) and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS).

This client needed some additional garage space at this beautiful lakeside home in Prospect. The challenge was that the existing driveway seen in the before photos was built upon a retaining wall system that varied in height from 7 feet to 12 feet. The client also wanted to preserve open access to the space below which eliminated the potential to use a typical foundation wall system for support of the garage and concrete slab floor. We worked with a structural engineer to design a base structure including steel columns/beams to support a clear span concrete slab in the Lite Deck brand Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) system.

Thad Adams is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Association of Home Builders. TheCertified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation program teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential to competing in the fastest growing segment of the residential remodeling industry: home modifications for the aging-in-place.

For this "Featured Project" we did a complete Master Bathroom remodel. The client was wanting an updated look with the addition of some new features to suit their needs. We began the project by modifying the existing shower. We removed the rear wall of the existing linen closet and extended the shower into the closet. This took the shower from a small 3′x3′ size to a much larger 3′x5′ using a marble shower pan and tiled walls. To replace the lost storage space of the closet the client chose a linen cabinet along with matching vanity's.

Adams Construction Services, Inc. offers design services for outdoor living projects, kitchen remodels, basement remodels, bathroom remodels, room additions, interior floor plan changes and much more. For more extensive projects, we often partner with Better By Design, LLC in New Albany to collaborate and design your project. By providing design services, we offer greater continuity between the conceptual design, final design and the production of the finished product. This higher level of continuity can greatly reduce design inaccuracies, code compliance errors and feasibility oversights - all contributing to better budgeting and faster completion of your project.

This is achieved through rigid vinyl construction, and fusion welded sashes and frames.

This complete kitchen renovation in Southern Indiana made a stunning change to this home. The original plan was modified to enlarge the kitchen, add a vaulted ceiling, add a walk-in pantry and to open the area between the kitchen and sun room. Upon review of the original floor plan (right), you can see that a third bathroom was eliminated to add a second area of cabinets and a walk-in pantry. The new floor plan (left) provides additional cabinet space with an island and natural gas cook top. A second area of cabinets features a double wall oven, microwave shelf and second sink.
