Our mission is to promote the highest standards of professionalism, conduct, honesty, integrity and ethical business practices adhered to by all Association Members; to provide leadership and support for the self storage industry in the United States and throughout the world; to address issues which specifically affect the self storage industry; to be the paramount resource for industry information, education, research, and technical expertise; and to enhance the quality and performance of self storage services and facilities.
Everything we undertake and accomplish - we do for the viability, success, and prosperity of those who have made an investment in self storage. We do this through responsive leadership, proven advocacy, relevant education, timely and accurate data, and the effective use of communications and social networking. It shall be the Mission of the Self Storage Association (SSA) and its subsidiaries to become the world's premier not-for-profit trade organization representing the best interests of the self storage industry.
Founded in 2005, these persons have the honor of having been elected to, and inducted into, the Self Storage "Hall of Fame" in tribute to their status among peers as pioneers, innovators and respected entrepreneurs. These pages provide but a small token of this industry's admiration and appreciation for their individual accomplishments, organizational achievements and dedication to the self storage industry. They knew where they wanted to go and had a unique talent for making others want to follow.
The Self Storage Association's Board of Directors created an industry charitable and educational organization in 2006, under Section 501-c-3 of the Internal Revenue Code, to be known as the SSA Foundation (SSAF). It shall be the Mission of the SSAF to provide timely, accurate industry information, communication and exceptional educational experiences for SSA members and owner-operators and investors across the United States and in affiliated nations. The SSAF will sponsor a "SSA Foundation Forum", and a general session executive education program at both national SSA conferences and conventions on topical and cutting-edge topics of interest to the industry at-large.
