Since 1946, Southern Air has focused on delivering customer satisfaction. Begun as a residential heating company with 15 employees, we have grown over the years to a full service Design / Build Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional contractor with over 800 employees.

From a staff of 15 employees and $250,000 worth of business in 1946, Southern Air has grown to employ over 750 people and has an annual business volume of approximately $100,000,000. In 1962 we added plumbing to our service and became the only complete mechanical contractor in the Lynchburg area, our growth and success took off. In 1980, Southern Air moved to its present facilities. Then in 1983, we added electrical contracting. We now offer the owner or contractor a team to perform the three major phases of a project: plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and electrical.
Thank you Southern Air for taking such good care of us the last few days! When our furnace was "condemned" you all worked extremely hard to get us back into a warm home as quickly as possible. With a 93 year old mother and a disabled husband i was grateful for your care and concern to get the job done quickly and professionally.
