HOW WE CALCULATE YOUR ESTIMATE Estimating is an Art and Not a Science, but, we are able to apply some general rules and industry standards to the scope provided to Dave or Jim during the walk through. Given “ordinary” conditions(no elevators, outdoor flights of stairs, tricky interior staircases, long walks from the house to truck, etc.), generally we estimate your move at approximately 1000lbs per hour for a 4 man crew, plus the travel time between your two locations for a direct move. Local Moving – Your in Home EstimateThe Moving Industry in Connecticut is regulated by The Department of Transportation, Public Utilities Division. Under the regulations issued by the state, all movers licensed within the state must publish a Tariff or “schedule of charges” for their moves.
