Chimney Savers specializes in the construction, repair and maintenance of all types of chimneys. Central HVAC systems are essentially the respiratory system for a buildings indoor environment. There are many reasons why a every homeowner should clean the HVAC at least every five years (people who smoke, have pets, have respiratory problems, are allergic to mold, mildew and pollen, have had rodent problems, or have a central air system that utilizes a standard throw-away fiberglass filter, need to clean their air ducts more often usually every 2-3 years). If you have just had any construction done you should clean the ducts as soon as it is all finished.

Because of that (and the high amount of labor involved) cast in place liners are not only the best lining but, are also the most expensive lining you can put into a chimney, typical finish cost is usually around four times the cost of other lining types. Cast in place liners are used for residential, commercial or industrial applications. Cast in place lining can be used for any type of installation, for example; fireplace, furnace, boiler, incinerator, wood-stove, pellet-stove or corn-stove. Cast in place lining can also be used with any fuel type; natural gas, home heating oil, wood, coal, corn and pellet.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, every year neglect of clothes dryer exhaust vent cleaning results in over $107.3 million dollars in residential fire property loss, in fact there are more house fires caused by dryer vents in the U.S. every year than by chimney fires! Lint and additional debris can build up in your clothes dryer vent and may cause your dryer to exhaust at less than optimum efficiency. This creates potentially hazardous conditions including carbon monoxide intrusion (in gas dryers) and exhaust fires (in all types of dryers).

Chimney Savers uses the Wohler VIS 2000PRO for Level 2 Inspections of chimneys, and also for video inspections of ventilation lines, vents and pipes. The camera allows us to detect leakages and defects. Because of the remote control pan and tilt camera head with built in LED lighting, we can light up and thoroughly inspect every spot. The results of the inspection can be recorded to a memory card in the instrument either as pictures or videos. An Important Note: The main purpose of a chimney inspection is to find fire safety and structural issues, while structural issues often cause draft issues, draft issues do not always stem from a structural issue.

A word on quality & installation: We mount our caps using masonry anchors and adhesive. Most of our competition only uses the adhesive which dries out in a few years and then the cap blows off the chimney. Because we bolt into your masonry with anchors we can offer cap installations that are guaranteed for the life of your chimney crown. We only use 18 gauge stainless steel and copper to make our chimney caps and they have a lifetime warranty because they are made to exacting standards from the finest materials.
