Depends on what you want. I originally wanted to just pump my septic tank. Unfortunately that wasn't as easy a task as I thought. The people that installed the pool put electrical lines over the septic tank lids. The septic tank had settled and was at least 24 inches below the ground. We didn't find out until after they were finished digging and found the electrical wires so I needed to get someone out to move them before the tank could be pumped. In the process, I asked for those cylindrical risers that go from the lids of the tank up to where you want it to be. Not a big deal. I asked for a quote and was amazed when I was quoted a price of "excavation of the septic tank" so that it could be put on a cement riser" as well as "filling in the dirt and sweeping off the deck". I never asked for excavation of the septic tank...I didn't want or need a cement riser or the work right outside my bedroom window, and I had people to refill the hole with the dirt and clean the deck. The price was outrageous. Got it done and didn't pay too much to do it.

came out to pump out our tanks. I'm from the city and knew nothing about septic systems. MC Jenna sent me a blurb because the tanks were filled with sewage. Since they had JUST pumped out the tanks, I had worries the tanks were not draining.
MC Jenna sent out 3 techs to checkout the leach lines, including a drawing of the sewer lines on our property.
After spending about an hour testing the drainage, they believed all was fine and they did not charge me.

I've never had a home with a septic system and McKenna was my ideal service company. They drained my septic tank and added (for a fee) "risers" to the 2 lids so that opening them for the next service would be simple. The office staff (Laura and Felicia) were extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me understand all that would be involved and kept me informed of my service status. It was easy to schedule and they were on time. Their price was fair and competitive.

Dave came out to pump our septic. Great guy, service was awesome! He helped me with the septic and fixed what we needed. Laura was great and so helpful! We will use McKenna always up here in Valley Center. Thank you!

We had to get a tank pump and inspection to close escrow. I asked around for referrals, and McKenna came highly recommended. We called and they were very friendly and accommodating. After scheduling, we had to actually change date three times because of fluctuating escrow closing date. They happily accommodated us, and came out quickly. Dave called to let us know when he was enroute, was professional and friendly. He completed the job quickly, explained code updates on tank lids, and made arrangements to take care of that for us. This was just outstanding. Thank you for making this one aspect of escrow so easy! We completely and highly recommend McKenna Septic.

David came to clean up our septic tank on Friday 12 October 2018.
He had done a good job and found issues.
He mentioned that toilet tanks or some leaking problems.
I checked all toilet tanks; I found one of the toilet tanks had been leaking. I am really glad that he mentioned; otherwise, our septic tank could fill tank or over flow again. Thanks!
P.s. Add only one thing: It should seal around the septic tanks' top lid when it put back to close the septic tank hole. (Other company did seal it, completely closed.) Now I can see some space between top lid and septic tank hole. It may go water into the tank from the ground when it's heavy raining.

I called Mckenna Septic when I had a couple of backups in two showers in different buildings that share the same septic system. Laura was very nice, and managed to get us squeezed in the following day- for sometime after noon.
Manny arrived at about 7 PM, and at the end of a long day he was still very pleasant. He worked quickly and efficiently, checked to be sure leech lines were not the problem, and noted there was no input to the tank from the drain of a running shower, indicating a clogged line. It was late but he did not stint on the job, completing the pump job in a professional manner.
Only caveat on the great service was I would have loved an update on arrival time - I thought we had been forgotten.

Outstanding service from these guys. We needed our septic system inspected before the purchase of our home. Had already struggled with two other companies who failed to locate our tank. The third company damaged the lids. Ugh! Found McKenna...thank God. Spoke to Lucia, very sweet and very knowledgeable and helpful. Dave was our "guy". This man went above and beyond to help us. We have an old tank which apparently had never been serviced before we purchased our home. This was a tough job to say the least but he muscled through it and our tank passed inspection. Before leaving he gave us advise on how to keep up our tank. Again, very knowledgeable staff. These guys were punctual, proficient and very professional. I would definitely recommend McKenna for any septic needs. I won't use anyone else.
