Although there have been many innovations in heating technology over the years, the furnace is still the go-to for many homeowners and technicians. Choosing an efficient furnace is a great choice in improving your home comfort, but it's just as important to keep it well-maintained if you want to make sure it runs properly. In most cases, new homes are built with a set of ductwork in place so that a heating and cooling system can circulate air throughout the home. However, this isn't always the case. Some older homes do not have any ductwork installed whatsoever, and installation would be a time-consuming endeavor. And if you've recently added a new room onto a home, extending the ductwork into this room may seem like too much extra work when you can just purchase a separate heating and cooling system for this room only.
If smoke were to billow from your kitchen, would you be alerted upstairs? Despite vast improvements in construction materials and building regulations, house fires still occur throughout the country every year. Whether because of a careless mistake, or an electrical malfunction, a house fire can do incredible damage to your home, to your belongings and furnishings as well as to you to your family. Therefore, it's worth taking your smoke detectors seriously. As a leading provider of electrical services in Kansas City, MO, we can make sure that your smoke detectors are installed properly at all times.

Just as the name indicates, a ductless heating system doesn't require any ducts to operate. And while there may be other types of heating systems you can install that don't require ducts, such as portable electric heaters that plug into the wall, a ductless heating system offers many advantages. It's a highly efficient, whole-home heating solution, and it doubles as an air conditioner! Ductless heating installation and service is a job for professionals, as it involves heavy equipment, precise measurements, and several components that must be in place for the unit to run properly.
Your heating and cooling system occupies a large portion of your monthly utility bills. A lot of energy is used to heat or cool an entire home, so it's no wonder your bills spike during an especially cold or hot month. While this rise in costs is usually expected, it's certainly not ideal. Besides, in most cases, this means that valuable environmental resources are used up for your home comfort. Environmentally and economically conscious consumers have taken charge of their heating and cooling units, and many turn alternative energy sources to lower costs and reduce their environmental footprints.
Have you considered home automation? With its blend of improved efficiency and convenience, home automation is rising quickly as a must-have for the tech-savvy among us. We can make sure that your home automation system is installed and serviced properly so that you can take full advantage of all that this technology has to offer.

With the number of electrical appliances and devices that we use each and every day, it is fair to say that electricity is one of the most ubiquitous resources available to modern homeowners. Clogged drains are a nuisance and can be caused by a simple blockage, buildup in your pipes, or by larger issues with your drain line. We advise that you steer clear of liquid drain cleaner and avoid exerting too much force when you plunge a clog as these can cause permanent damage to your pipes. Some restrictions may apply. The thermostat is really the only component of your heating and cooling system with which you interact on a regular basis, and, though it is small, it's also one of the most important parts of your HVAC system. Without a working thermostat, your unit would not know when to turn on and off. While this is the most basic function of any thermostat, most modern models have additional features, such as programming options, wireless control, or the ability to operate the temperature in your home while you're far away.
During the cooling season, you cannot afford to be without an efficient, high-performance air conditioning system. Air conditioners cannot operate effectively if they are not installed and handled with care. In most homes, the heating system and air conditioner are separate. Most often, a furnace heats up the air while a separate air conditioning system adds comfort in the summertime. But more and more homeowners have traded out their older heating and cooling systems for a single HVAC unit, the heat pump. Heat pumps are very efficient and should provide the same level of heating and cooling to which you are accustomed to a traditional heater or air conditioner. Heat pump installation, repair, or maintenance is a job for professionals only.
Did you know that each year, about 8 percent of households replace their water heaters amounting to between 7 million and 7.8 million water heaters are replaced in the United States annually. The MVP team is outstanding. We highly recommend working with this company!
MVP is the company we use to service our furnace and air conditioner at our church Faith Evangelistic Center. Joshua was the service technician who came out. He called ahead and gave me an approximate time for his arrival. He was very professional and showed up exactly at the time he gave me. Joshua was very thorough and focused in performing maintenance on our air conditioner. He gave me options to enhance my system and explained why he gave those recommendations. Five stars all the way around good job Joshua!

The bad storm on the night of the 12th and morning of the 13th, caused a tree limb to fall and took out my power line and ruined other things. My grandson, Brandon York is a service writer at SK Mechanic, told me about MVP. SK does business with Chip at MVP. Brandon called Chip for me and Kenny was sent right out. Kenning did a terrific job of explaining all the needed to be done. He gave me an estimate and we discussed upgrading everything. He gave me another estimate to include the upgrade. I chose to go with the upgrade in the repair. I thought the estimate was very reasonable. Kenny also said that he would work with Evergy and take care of everything. Kenny made this Grandmother very relieved! On the day of the upgrade repair, Kenny and another great MVP electrician (I am so sorry that I forgot his name-I apologize for that), came out and got it all fixed. They were so amazing! They treated me like I was their own Grandmother! I feel like I have 2 new Grandsons! MVP is a part of my family now. I signed up for MVP's plan that includes plumbing, heating & air conditioning and electric. It has everything that I needed and have been looking for. I am so relieved that I now have a responsible company to call when I need one of these services. Thank You Chip, Rhonda, Kenny and the other Great electrician for your excellent service. You have made this Grandmother feel so protected and so very happy! God Bless You all!
Tanner was the plumber and he handled the job extremely well. Some work was done by another company that was deficient, Tanner pointed out the faults and corrected and improved everything. He is very knowledgeable and efficient and has a great personality and explained the whole process clearly. I have used MVP for electrical and HVAC work in the past and have always been pleased with their work.
Installed dedicated circuit for microwave and some new outdoor outlets. Replaced halogen bulbs with LED ones.Other work to solve problem of overloaded circuits and malfunctioning lights. It seemed expensive, but I have no real basis for comparison. Everything seems to be working well now except when it is stormy. They did not come on the day of the first appointment, but they did call and let me know
