Clydeco Building Supplies began modestly in 1975. The humble beginnings of the business consisted of a small wooden shed, a shade tree, and a desire to provide reinforcing steel to contractors and home owners in Utah. After constructing his own home, B. Clyde Gammell, founder of Clydeco Building Supplies, sold his excess rebar to a local contractor. Through this seemingly insignificant event an idea was born. Clyde inquired with some steel wholesalers in Salt Lake City, Utah, as to the possibility of buying more rebar with the intention of reselling it to local contractors.
Clydeco Building Supplies began modestly in 1975. The shop is a full-service fabrication facility, capable of fabricating any size of rebar to specification. We provide rebar for residential to commercial and industrial projects to some of the largest contractors in the nation. No job is too small however and we still retain the ability to work with the do-it-yourself person who may call or come by the shop. We pride ourselves in providing a superior product, combined with service that is unmatched in our industry.
