Garden District, formerly John Hoover flowers, began in 1995 in a charming clapboard house in Midtown Memphis. Our shop was named in part because of the owners' love for New Orleans and in part because of its proximity to both Central Gardens and Chickasaw Gardens here in Memphis. In 2003, after outgrowing the space, we moved to our current location in the heart of East Memphis. Our current showroom is a mix of contemporary and traditional and features a glass storefront, soaring ceilings and plenty of space to display a beautiful mix of flowers, plants, antiques, books and containers.
