Modern Building Company was founded in 1946. Immediately following World War II, Modern's first projects were building Quonset hut storage buildings. This start enabled the firm to build 250 of these structures for Pacific Gas & Electric's Feather River Project in 1949. Since then, Modern has expanded its portfolio with continued slow but steady growth. This growth has allowed us to develop our dedicated management team and highly-skilled tradesmen, to be able to provide the best service and projects to our clients.

Paradise Adventist Academy, Paradise CA. The gym had to be completely remodeled along with other buildings on campus because of fire damage from the Paradise Fire in 2018.
Finished the new Wildcat Switchgear Building at Chico State University this week. The building powers the entire Chico State campus. This was a special job because a portion of the new electrical was bored under Big Chico Creek.
Today our Modern concrete team poured part of the pool deck at Springfield Apartments located in Meriam Park. There is a lot of small detailed work in this project and our team is making it look amazing.
