Blooma Tree Experts Inc. is owned and operated by Martin Macauley and Josiah Macauley, both ISA Certified Arborists (PN-5768A and PN-7246A). We pride ourselves on our education, as we stay abreast of current research and technology in the field of arboriculture. Martin comes from a long line of tree experts. With a grandfather who was an Oregon logger in the 1930s and 40s, and a father who founded a successful logging company in the 1960s and 70s, Martin grew up with a love of trees and a keen knowledge of balancing customer needs with natural aesthetics.
Whenever we prune trees, we follow strict ISA tree pruning guidelines, improving the tree's health and enhancing its structure. All pruning is either performed by or supervised by an ISA Certified Arborist. Learn more about Tree Pruning. We are well-trained and experienced in pruning all three types of shrubs and bushes: cane, mound, and tree-like shrubs. Each type demands a different technique and goal. Correct pruning is an essential part of responsible tree care. Our four ISA Certified Arborists follow ISA pruning guidelines to create healthy, beautiful trees. We can prune conifers / evergreens, deciduous, ornamentals, and fruit trees (such as apple, cherry, or pear). In any given year, no more than 20% - 25% of a mature tree can be removed through pruning The Blooma tree experts will prune only as much as is safe for the tree so the homeowner can enjoy its beauty for years to come.
We love trees, but sometimes a tree must be removed. Blooma Tree Experts can remove a tree efficiently and safely, no matter the size, no matter the location. Generally, to remove a tree, the arborist climbs the tree, removing the limbs from the bottom up, and drops them onto a cleared area. If the tree is close to an important structure, we rig each limb down, one at a time. We can slo use our bucket truck, if the location allows. During the tree removal, we chip up all the brush and haul it away.
Trees and limbs fail when we least expect it. In those times, call the Blooma Tree Experts for reliable and efficient service. We will respond quickly to your emergency, take care of the problem, and work with your insurance company to ease your burden.
Our new Vermeer SC362 will eat through your unsightly stumps like a hot knife through butter. Designed to maneuver through narrow passages, such as a backyard gate, our stump grinder will help remove all evidence of a removed tree, leaving your yard free for new landscaping.
When a tree's limbs hang low, they may block driveways and sidewalks or make it difficult to mow the lawn beneath the tree. Removing lower branches from a tree, called crown raising, gives more clearance for buildings, vehicles and pedestrians. It can also make your yard look less cluttered, improving your home's curb appeal. The Blooma Tree Experts will safely and carefully remove low limbs, cutting them according to ISA guidelines to encourage quick healing and a natural look.
Topping a tree is bad! Topping creates many problems, including: multiple tops, tree stress, watersprouts, and an opening for parasites and fungus. All responsible tree specialists, such as the Blooma Tree Experts, avoid topping trees. Here, we prune the tree knowledgeably and safely, eliminating some branches and shortening others by cutting back to a lateral. This pruning creates a natural appearance, retains a tree's structure, prevents parasitic and fungal attack, and minimizes tree stress. Trust us to responsibly balance both your needs and the tree's needs to create a beautiful symbiotic balance.

So I bought this Hellebore for my yard two weeks ago, planted it and then we had the snow dump which buried it for days. Today I unearthed it and it was fine! I LOVE a hearty plant! Also isn't there a metaphor in here somewhere!?
