Keeping your rug well maintained is a key part to ensure the quality and value of your rug. We recommend that you bring your rug to be cleaned at least once every 2 years. At the Persian Rug Gallery, we use traditional, old fashioned hand cleaning techniques. We vacuum both sides of your rug, use a special Oriental rug shampoo to prevent your rug's natural dyes from bleeding, and then air dry your rug on raised wooden pallets to allow for proper air ventilation during the drying process. The total cleaning and drying process takes about 7-10 days.
