Estabrook's is a full service, family owned and operated garden center. Our flagship location is in Yarmouth, Maine and we also have a seasonal location in Kennebunk, Maine. Our Yarmouth and Kennebunk stores are currently closed for the season. The Yarmouth store will reopen sometime in January. Plants with a number sign (#) followed by a number are roughly equivalent to gallon pot sizes (i.e. Plants measured by caliper (inches) are generally larger than plants measured in height (feet). Simply pick out your favorite plants at our locations in Yarmouth or Kennebunk and ask for our planting service at the register. To get your plantings off to a good start, amendments MUST be purchased from Estabrook's with each plant. Regular B & B or container plants will need 1-2 bags of Coast of Maine Penobscot Blend Compost & Peat or Bumper Crop Soil, 1 bag of Bark Mulch (2 cu ft) and 1 bag or bottle of root stimulator such as Rock Phosphate, Thrive or Quick Start. Oversized plants may require a double order of each amendment.

An aged mix, our Dark Bark mulch is a classic chocolate brown color and will provide protection and polish to your garden. A 70-30 mix of bark mulch and composted cow manure, Feeding Mulch will fertilize your soil while also adding the protection, insulation and finished look of traditional mulch. Plus, there's no odor! Neither as heavy as clay nor as light as sand, loam represents a compromise between the two extremes. Use it to retain moisture and aerate your soil. A rich blend of seafood and cow manure, "Surf n' Turf" is fully composted to a dark, odorless organic matter with flecks of shell.
