General Fire Extinguisher Service is a family-owned company that provides fire protection services. Since 1957, we have been serving residential and commercial clients in Washington and Northern Idaho. Many clients want their fire protection needs under one umbrella, and we offer just that (excluding building fire sprinkler services). Additionally, we are authorized dealers and trained servicers of Amerex, Ansul, and Pyro-Chem products. We strive to create a team atmosphere where the employer, employee, and customer work together for mutual benefit.
Founded by Harry Siria, General Fire Extinguisher Service began as a portable extinguisher service company. As firefighting equipment and techniques advanced, the business grew to include restaurant hood, off-road vehicle, and paint booth suppression systems. In 1970, we started to provide commercial fire alarm, security, CCTV, access control, and UL monitoring services to customers as well. Many other fire service and alarm service companies either are outside Spokane, WA or owned by larger corporations.
General Fire Extinguisher Service offers a complete line of new, industrial grade Amerex and Ansul portable fire extinguishers, cabinets, first aid products, and safety equipment for all new construction. Customers can walk in with their portable extinguishers and have them serviced while they wait. We are currently the only fire protection company in town that offers this service! Our team of licensed technicians will come to you to service your extinguishers at your preferred location. When the 12-year hydrostatic test interval is due, we offer the option of leaving loaner extinguishers and returning your fire extinguishers to you when the testing is complete.
