Gate 5 Self Storage has been in business for 14 years. In 2003, my father was throwing out that "R" word called retirement. My mom said "Well, you're not coming home!" with that Dad replied, "I'm too old to start a new business but I want something for retirement." In 2004 Father and Son duo Maxwell and Max Jr. attended the Self-Storage Association's Developer Seminar hearing the Good, Bad and Ugly of Self Storage. 2005 following the BRAC announcement that Ft. Gordon would be staying open, we broke ground on what would become Gate 5 Self Storage.

We are a family-owned and operated storage facility that has lived in Augusta for 4 generations. Gate 5 Self Storage has the people on board that will treat you like family, know how to answer your questions, and advise you on what you need based on our conversations with you. Having moved and gone through home renovations, we feel we are able to advise you on what moving/storage supplies you might need, as well as the proper storage size. In 2015 Gate 5 Self Storage had the Georgia Self Storage Association's Facility Manager of the Year.

Gate 5 Self Storage is a fenced, gated, and well-lit storage facility that offers climate controlled and non-climate controlled units. Surrounding the property, we have surveillance cameras. We offer storage units ranging from a 5x5 up to a 10x30. With the storage unit rental, we offer the Pay with Rent insurance. These policies start at $2500 worth of coverage. Upon move-in, we give you a free disk lock, a gate code to access our computerized gate as well as the access code to give you the ability to download and use the "Easy Code" app, which allows you to open our gate and/or pay your storage bill from your smartphone.
