Our mission is to get your living space clean, and we'll do it without bringing noxious chemicals into your home. Traditionally the carpet cleaning industry has used a host of toxic chemicals to clean carpets and upholstery. With advances in green cleaning, however, toxic chemicals no longer offer any advantage. Our low moisture carpet cleaning method lets you use your carpets again on an average of about three hours after we are done. We clean carpets, upholstery, Oriental rugs, Persians, braided rugs, leather, ceramic floor tile and wood floors.
Can you get your floor tile grout clean? We can. Most often, mop and detergent will not do a thing for your grout. We use special non-toxic cleaners that dissolves the crud off grout. We can also apply a non-toxic water based grout sealant (highly recommended) to make it harder for new spills to penetrate. We hand-scrub your grout! This is the proven old-fashioned and best method. Mechanized scrubbers ride on top of the tile and will not reach the grout. Truck-mounted steam blasters will reach the grout, but they can also blast away significant amounts of grout and sometimes not clean all the dirty spots.
Do your employees and customers deserve a clean space that's also free of toxins and noxious smells? Green Homes Carpet Cleaning can get your small to medium sized office or store really clean. We have handled some pretty filthy industrial dirt and allowed the owners to put off installing new carpets. Not only that, but you can use your office space in less than three hours after we are done! Our low moisture method dries quickly and will not make your carpet develop wrinkles or waves.
Do you or your family snack and spill drinks on the good living room furniture? We can get your furniture back in shape again anyway. We're very thorough and get great results, even with some of the grubbiest furniture you can imagine. Our upholstery cleaning soaps leave no fumes or residues. Our leather furniture cleaner has a wonderful natural smell and moisturizes with natural oils. We do upholstery cleaning using traditional warm or cool water extraction with non-toxic soaps. The process includes vacuuming, duct tape removal of pet hair (if necessary), pretreating for spots, and then detergent/water extraction.
To clean your carpets, we thoroughly vacuum them and hand-scrub any stains. For the main cleaning step, we spray a light coat of non-toxic, biodegradable detergent/deodorizer on the rug by hand. For expensive wools and Persians, we have a special low pH cleaner. See our page about toxins in the carpet cleaning business. Our machine then vibrates a wet cotton terry cloth deeply into the carpet fibers. In the industry, this is known as "bonnet cleaning" and also "low moisture carpet cleaning". Many "steam" (hot water) cleaning companies are switching back to this tried and true method, which has been recently refined and modernized.
We clean Orientals, Persians, hand-made rugs, and other area rugs. We have been cleaning expensive area rugs for 10 years and are experienced in caring for fine wool rugs. We clean your rugs at a fraction of the cost of other cleaners. We use our low-moisture process on your rugs, right where they lie in your home. There is no soak-thru onto hardwood floors, and rugs dry in several hours, so there is no weeks-long waiting period to get your rugs back.
