We were told by the initial sales person that the service was fully guaranteed and that we could quit at any time. He only asked that he be given a chance to come back and do a touch up if it didn't work the first time. After several visits, we attempted to cancel service but was presented a bill for $165. Thereafter, all staff were rude and unprofessional.
Scammy! I was told up front multiple times that there was no fee or anything if I end my service with them. I asked several times many different ways. I was told that I could cancel service at any point. I recently came into some financial woes that are preventing us from spending the 80$ per service call and I advised them I would like to cancel. They then proceeded to advise me that I was responsible for an 80 past due plus a 250.00 fee to cancel (they said it wasnt a fee but that it was the discount i was given for the first treatment.umm mmm scam much ) That said, It is sad that this kinda of shady business practice still happens in this day in age. Why can't companies just be honest, why must they try to scam people into getting contracts and why must their sales people continue to lie lie lie!? Guess i'm going back to doing my own pest control using products from amazon, homedepot and the likes for about 1/3 the cost if not more.
My husband had a sales guy "Pete" come to the door and offer a discounted service that he "could cancel at any time". After many questions, he finally agreed to it, but refused to give a credit card number because he didn't want recurrent charges. He called several times to cancel, after we saw our first live scorpion in the house following the first two treatments. He finally got a call back yesterday from someone saying that the original discount only applied if we continued service, & we'd have to pay $190 to cancel. After much back and forth, they did tell him that we could get a discounted rate, which my husband agreed to because he didn't want to just throw away $190, but he made clear to the guy that we would leave poor reviews on every site we could, which did not bother him in the least. Lesson learned, do not hire people who come to your door offering a "discount".
