Established in March of 2005, Ward Electric Company has the experience and equipment to engineer, design, build, repair, restore and maintain all facets of electric power line installation. This includes EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project management, inspection, and emergency storm repair. We also have the capability and expertise to design and build commercial, industrial and residential electric projects. With the increasing demand for clean energy, we have added renewable energy to our project list, completing several transmission/distribution lines for wind & solar generation projects.
Since March of 2005, Ward Electric Company has grown from 3 field employees to over 300. A family owned operation, we have the experience and equipment to engineer, design, build, repair, restore and maintain all facets of electric power line installation. Project management, inspection, and traffic control are additional capabilities we provide in order to implement a successful project. Our capabilities extend through the engineering of transmission and substation projects, overhead and underground jobs, fiber optic delivery, substation construction and upgrades, through storm repair services and traffic control.
Matt became Ward Electric's President in the spring of 2020, after serving within the company as Vice President (eight years) and prior to that as a Superintendent. He began working for Ward Electric Company in 2006 as a CDL Groundsman while he attended college. In 2008, he started his progress towards becoming a Journeyman Lineman with Mountain States Line Constructors. In 2011, he earned his Journeyman Lineman certification. The following year, in 2012, Matt and his brother, Mark, became majority owners of Ward Electric Company, purchasing the company from their parents, Mike and Joyce, who started the company in 2005.
