The Washington Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) is the professional society that represents the landscape architecture profession in Washington State. OUR MISSION as a landscape architecture organization is to lead, to educate and to participate in the careful stewardship, wise planning and artful design of our cultural and natural environments. As Landscape Architects, we must be stewards for our environment, community and neighbors. Landscapes play a vital role in society and there are many opportunities in our State for us to create equitable communities both in physical space and within the offices and workplaces of the A&E industry.

Landscape architecture is the profession that encompasses the analysis planning, design, management, and stewardship of outdoor space and land. Activities of a landscape architect cover a wide range, including creating public parks and parkways, site planning for corporate office buildings, reclaiming blighted areas, designing towns and creating private residential areas.
