Abraham Tabrizi started APlus Contracing Inc. (APlus Interior Design & Remodeling) in his Orange County Garage building cabinets while his young son, Alex handed him tools. The company moved from a garage into a small Irvine shop that grew into the Anaheim factory it is now. The before of Costa Mesa shows a very dramatic difference from what exists in the design now, after the work of APlus. When we first encountered this Orange County home, the kitchen, and main level were very closed off from one another. The ceilings were high, and a skylight let in natural light, but this was blocked off by odd wall placement. There was an obstructive wall located directly in the middle of the original kitchen that kept this space fully separate from the rest of the living and dining area.
Before the kitchen redesign of this home in San Clemente, the first thing you would notice were the spectacular ocean views. It was a beautiful space, in terms of the views, and from the glass doors across from the kitchen bar, you felt as if you in an oceanfront resort. Unfortunately, the design of the kitchen itself didn't reflect a similar sense of beauty and luxury. One of the biggest problems in the kitchen design was the cabinets. They were outdated, with a traditional single-panel inset design.
