Owner, Pat Ross, graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant & Soil Science with an emphasis in Ornamental Horticulture. In 1983 she started Landscape Concepts as a horticultural consulting and landscape design company. The company grew with a strong customer base in shopping centers, office space, and other commercial property. Looking to further the company's creative opportunities, she shifted its emphasis toward residential design in the early 1990s.
