At Metropolitan Forestry Services, we believe nature is worth preserving and we have been providing expert tree care, landscaping and arboricultural consulting throughout the St. Louis area since 1976. Our expert Certified Arborists work to educate our clients and provide you with the best possible solution for your tree care needs. We have a science-based approach to providing tree care and our commitment to education, training, research and collaboration have been the foundation for our success.

Whether it's a more traditional formal garden with articulated beds, hard edges, and a tightly controlled plant palette, a contemporary landscape with a minimalist methodology and bold geometric shapes, or a naturalistic landscape oasis with sweeping curves, loose lines, and colorful perennials that bloom from season to season, we design to suit your taste and needs. As well as offering design services, MFS specializes in managing established landscapes. Therefore, we use bigger, more mature trees and shrubs that will blend into your existing landscape.

MFS has always been a leader and innovator in Tree Care in the St. Louis area. We are on the cutting edge of research and technology in our arboriculture program. Our staff attends regular tree care seminars, classes, and meetings to maintain our Registered Consulting Arborist, Certified Arborist, Certified Forester, and Certified Pesticide Applicator status. We want to offer you the best information concerning your trees and landscapes. Our years of experience in "hands-on" arboriculture and problem-solving in St. Louis landscapes makes us the best.

Is one of your trees shedding leaves when it should be growing them? Are little critters eating your favorite shrubs? Do you have a question about the growth rate and light requirements of that new tree you are considering? Are you new to the neighborhood and need some advice on caring for the trees and shrubs in your new yard? One of our Certified Arborists can visit your home and develop a personalized and comprehensive plan to keep your trees and shrubs healthy. Our Arborist can identify, measure, assess health, and inventory all trees and shrubs on your property.

At Metropolitan Forestry Services, we expect our employees to uphold the highest standards of quality in tree care. We're extremely proud and grateful for everyone at MFS that spends each day working to preserve nature by providing expert tree care, maintenance, and consultation services. We are very pleased with the plantings suggested by and picked out by Mike. The men arrived on time to plant the boxwood and witch hazel tree; dug out the stump and cleaned up. They were pleasant and helpful - we couldn't have asked for a better team.

MFS follows pruning standards established by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) and the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). These are the A-300 standards for pruning operations. Before pruning, it is extremely important to establish a goal - what do you want to accomplish? Our expert staff would be glad to help. Give us a call. Professionally installed cabling systems in the crown of your tree may prevent breakage from wind ice or snow. Shade and ornamental trees may be repaired after damage has occurred with properly installed cables and rods.

Great job on an emergency basis. Above and beyond performance by Chris and his crew. Thank you.

It was amazing watching MFS cut down our huge tree! Every large limb landed exactly on the rubber mat target. No damage to our landsacape. Thanks Metropolitan! Diana

Wonderful service! Metropolitan was able to come out ahead of schedule, which was fantastic. The cleanup this company does is out of this world. Very impressed and will certainly use them again!
