Mark's Maintenance Lawn & Home Care started as a part time venture, providing quality residential lawn care to the Bloomington/Normal area. It has recently grown into a full time operation serving and providing residential and commercial service. It has always been my philosophy, in any service business, for the customer to be able to communicate with the owner, anytime, at the customers' convenience. Therefore, even though my company has grown, you will still find me, the owner operator, answering your phone calls and maintaining your property.
We will provide regular scheduled cutting and trimming visits of lawn areas using a weekly schedule. Your property will be given an assigned day of the week to be serviced; although conditions may change due to rainy days and weather pattern variables. Exact scheduled days may be altered to accommodate best practical solutions. On each service visit, we will also trim around all trees, rocks, beds, and buildings removing all clippings from landscaping beds, base of trees, building foundations, asphalt, and concrete surfaces.
Our Lawn Care Program (fertilizing) consists of either a 4 or 6 step treatment plan per year. These treatments are scheduled at different intervals of dry fertilizer along with weed control. This program, coupled with good watering and mowing habits, provide your lawn with the basics for a beautiful and healthy lawn throughout the growing season. During periods of drought conditions it is important that you water your lawn. If drought conditions extend too long, the grasses will react defensively to this and move into a dormancy state.
Aeration increases the penetration of air, water and nutrients into the root zone area stimulating new root development and encouraging thicker turf growth. Your lawn will be healthier and greener throughout the growing season. Soil aeration promotes the decomposition of thatch while also improving the soil structure. Aeration also does not leave the lawn in the stressed and unsightly condition that de-thatching often does. Lawn aeration relieves the disease-creating effects of soil compaction and increases the decomposition of thatch to reduce this insect and disease-breeding habitat.
