This HBA serves the entire Siouxland area including the Sioux City metropolitan area and surrounding towns, Northwest Iowa, Southeast South Dakota, and Northeast Nebraska. Our membership is built on companies from the entire tri-state area.

In 1948, this professional trade association was organized to help local builders and associate businesses involved in construction to better contend with their problems through collective action. Relationships with city and county planning commissions, problems dealing with community facilities, building codes, mortgage finance, etc., have been a matter of constant concern. We've stimulated home ownership and business activity for the entire community through such promotions as the Siouxland Home Show, Parade of Homes, Project Home (the building of a home with much of the labor being done by WIT's carpentry and electrical classes).
