After the 2008 & 2009 recession working hours were reduced greatly working for other painting contractors. It became apparent that we were in need for a whole new approach. James Sr & James Jr realized that with the combination of there expertise & talent as long standing professional painters that it was time to go into business for themselves. James Jr. passed the California State License exam in both law & trade in 2010 & received his contractor license in November of 2010. We chose the name Refined Painting because this name represents the type of work that we do.
