Founded in historic Salem, Massachusetts by Henry A Waters and J Clarke Brown in 1895, Waters & Brown served the seaport as a major source of building supplies, paints, and hardware. In 1969, brothers Donald and Edward Clarke purchased the business with the mission to provide the finest paint and decorating products in New England. In the years since, Waters & Brown has continued to grow and has been recognized nationwide for their unique products and professional guidance. Today, Waters & Brown is owned and operated by Donald Clarke's sons, Shaun and Tim Clarke, who joke they have worked at the store since they could walk.

The PowerView® lift system gives you the ability to control and schedule your window treatments via remote control or on your mobile device. They can even pair with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri for voice activation. The Duolite® lift system uses two separate fabric panels of differing opacities in a single shade. This means you can get light diffusion and room darkening together in one shade. The Top-Down/Bottom-Up system offers you the ability to operate window treatments from the top down, bottom up, or a combination of both.

Advance is a waterborne-alkyd hybrid that delivers the desired flow and leveling characteristics of an oil paint with the low odor/low VOC and water cleanup of latex finishes. Advance has an exceptional open time ensuring minimal brush marks. Once cured, it's as hard and durable as a furniture-quality finish.
