We believe in creating long-term relationships with our clients that will help them protect and maintain one of their biggest investments - their home. Many remodeling and roofing companies can't tackle everything that might come up in the course of a home improvement project. This means lost time and extra costs. But our in-house team includes experts in roofing, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, drywall, acoustic ceiling removal, tile setting, solar panel installation, painting, and design.
The answer to all your problems may be as simple as a couple of coats of paint. Painting your cabinets is an easy and cheap way to totally change the look of your kitchen. If you have a small kitchen, then white is the answer to all your prayers. White reflects light and makes rooms look larger. An all white kitchen eliminates any edges that stop the eye and makes your kitchen feel expansive. If all white feels too sterile, add some subtle variations of shade or add some design elements like recessed panels, interesting knobs, or crown molding.
TR Construction's electrical division makes it easy for customers to get all their electrical work done, whether it is part of a larger project or a small electrical job. Our in-house electricians eliminate the hassle of having to coordinate with multiple people on a project and allow us to maintain our rigourous quality standards. We work seamlessly together to provide you with service and quality you can rely on. Our electricians are experienced professionals who are fully licensed and bonded.
Temperatures are going up and, unfortunately, so is your energy bill. In the summer, heat naturally flows into your home, and in the winter it naturally flows out of your home. Insulation resists the flow of heat, which in turn decreases the costs of heating and cooling your home. Many San Diego homes simply don't have enough insulation to meet today's energy efficiency standards. Providing sufficient insulation in your home is a cost effective way to reduce your heating and cooling costs. According to the U.S Department of Energy, adding new insulation may pay for itself in just a few short years.
Investing in your home is one of the few ways you can have your cake and eat it too. When you invest in the right home improvement projects, not only do you get to enjoy it, but you can recoup a lot of your money later. This is especially true in San Diego, where a lot of the homes are older and there are very few new homes on the market. Spending a little money on home improvement can really make an older home stand out. Paintingis inexpensive and can pack a big punch. When painting the interior, bold colors can be fun, but if you are reselling soon, you will want to stick to neutrals.
We prefer the modified torch-down system over the rock and tar system because the biggest problem we find with a hot mop tar systems with gravel on top is what happens over time is the gravel moves. Wind, rain, vibration, cats using the gravel as kitty litter, cable wires on top of the roof system which are moving and move gravel, are exposing areas of the membrane which decrease the life expectancy of the roof system. These gravel rock roof systems are throughout San Diego on older homes. With the modified torch-down cap sheet; the embedded granules on the cap sheet protect the membrane from decreased life expectancy.
Over the years, we have perfected our new roof installation system - from teardown to completion - by working with homeowners like you. A recent client created this amazing video of us re-roofing his home. Our clients are some of our biggest cheerleaders and we love how the video lets you see the entire process from a different perspective. The best way to find out is by having your home inspected by a qualified roofing contractor. You can call us at (858) 537-6490 to schedule an in-home appointment.
Your roof not only keeps the water off your house, in many ways it also functions as the lungs of your home. A well-designed ventilation system provides a continual flow of air through your attic by establishing a balance between air intake and air exhaust. A poorly ventilated attic can decrease the life of your roof by damaging wood, shingles, and the felt underlayment that waterproofs your roof. It can even decrease the life of your entire home. During the summer, excessive heat can build up in your attic causing premature aging of your entire roof system, damage to your wood framing, and damage to your siding and interior and exterior paint.
Roofs have it pretty good in San Diego. They aren't exposed to quite as much abuse as they are in other parts of the country. We usually don't have to worry about snow, ice dams, large hail, torrential rain, or hurricane-level winds. But even San Diego homes need a roofing repair sometimes. The first thing everybody wants to know is how much it is going to cost to repair their roof. Unfortunately, that isn't an easy question to answer without seeing your roof first. We recommend reaching out to us for a free roof repair estimate.
In San Diego, shingle roofs are one of the most common types of roofing applications we see. A shingle roof is any roof made of asphalt shingles, also known as composition shingles. This type of roofing system is far more durable than a flat roof or tile roof system. Asphalt shingles are a great choice because they require little maintenance, are easy to repair, and can be used on a wide variety of roofs. They are also very economical because they are relatively inexpensive for the reliable roofing system they provide.
When you love your home, but you've either outgrown it or decided the layout doesn't work for you anymore, you don't have to move; TR Construction offers a less cumbersome solution: remodel! Our skilled construction team can add rooms to your home or merely reconfigure the space you already have into something that better suits your needs. We know the thought of having your home "torn up" might evoke negative thoughts, but we're focused on lessening the disruption that occurs in your life during a more extensive remodeling project such as a room addition or space reconfiguration.
Solar energy is good for the environment and the economy. That's why local, state, and federal governments provide several rebates, tax credits, and incentives to help offset the cost of installation. For some homeowners in San Diego, these incentives can account for up to 40% of the cost of the solar panel system and installation. According to Google Project Sunroof, 94 percent of homes in San Diego are viable. To find out how much you can save on your home, visit Project Sunroof's online personalized solar savings estimator.
Anybody who has watched HGTV's House Hunters knows that bathrooms and kitchens sell homes. An old, out-dated kitchen or bathroom can mean the difference between a "fixer upper" and a dream home. And even if you aren't planning on selling anytime soon, why not remodel now, enjoy it now, and cash in on your investment later? Although kitchens are now the focal point of any home, bathrooms are a great place to start if you want to increase the value of your home and don't have the budget or time to tackle a complete kitchen remodel.
Here in San Diego, concrete, tile and clay tile roofs are very common. Most new construction homes throughout the San Diego area have concrete tile roofs, as well as, older homes that are 15, 20, and 25 years old. Most of the problems we see and deal with involve these older homes but also on occasion the newer homes with the tile installations can and do leak. Although tile roofs are typically pretty durable, they do occasionally leak-especially with older homes. The longer a roof leaks, the greater the damage, so it is important to keep your eyes open for signs of a roof leak so that you can repair your roof right away.

When investing in solar energy for your home, it is important to select solar panels that are efficient, durable, and reliable. We use LG NeOn 2 solar modules because their solar panels are one of the most efficient on the market. They also come with a 25-year materials warranty. Because a warranty is only as good as the company behind it, we also like that LG has been around for years.
We love TR Construction! TR Construction just has finished our ADU (home addition) and the results have exceeded our expectations! Great company, great people and great experience!
Referred by a neighbor, just a tuneup was all we needed. On time, professional, excellent work!
We chose TR Construction to remove and put on a new roof and had an excellent experience. We considered five different roofers and ultimately chose TR construction because of their many years of experience and employee retention, impeccable reviews, competitive price and the recognition of their professionalism. During the process it was clear they cared about the customer and not just about getting the job done and moving on to the next one. Sal was a pleasure to work with. He treated our house as though it was his. We truly recommend TR Construction to do your roof. You will not be disappointed.
Mike came to prepare a quote for roof repair. He was thorough and explained what needed to be done and was also able to explain what caused the issue with the roof. When it came to the repair itself Mike and Kenny were very professional. They worked quickly and completed the work and cleaned up afterward. Definitely reccomend T R Construction.
They did a very good job repairing and re-roofing my house. Very effecient and thorough clean up.
Tony and company did an excellent job on our remodel and re-roof. Any concerns we had were immediately taken care of. They have a depth of staff and workers that cares about their clients. Thank you TR for making the project experience with open communication to minimize contractor-clie nt conflicts.
TRC has done 2 jobs for me and both have exceeded all my expectations. They came back and fixed my roof even though it was outside the area they originally worked on. The second job was fixing a leaking deck. Micheal was very detail oriented, followed up multiple times and they did an excellent job. I will definitely hire them again and I have recommended them to my neighbors.
They did a great job fixing our problems. They were professional, on time, neat, and very very competent. I definitely recommend them!
Our clients often appreciate how transparent we are when we work. We welcome questions so that you know what we are doing and why we are doing it. We know your home is important.
Today's tile roofs aren't just "round and red" anymore. There are now dozens of styles and colors to choose from.
Many remodeling and roofing companies can't tackle everything that might come up in the course of a home improvement project. This means lost time and extra costs.
It can be tricky to find out where a roof is leaking. But our roofers perform a careful inspection of each home to identify the problem. That means homeowners benefit from our years of experience and can avoid more costly repairs. It is better to fix a small leak before you have a large problem.
