In 1959, Tom and Mary Frances Koetter started Koetter Woodworking in Borden, Indiana, with little more than a few pieces of equipment and a commitment to provide superior quality and service. Working at night and on weekends, the fledgling company began turning out mouldings for the Starlite Cabinet Company, which soon realized it had found an unbeatable supplier of quality work. For more than 60 years now, Koetter Woodworking has been a specialty manufacturer synonymous with sustainably produced, architectural-quality products.

Finely crafted details-such as hand-scraped and hand-hewn planks, inlay, and marquetry-accentuate interiors from traditional to modern. Our team of in-house flooring experts develops flooring plans that offer durability, beauty, and long-term value. Woods are available in plain-sawn and rift-and-quartered varieties. A collection of heartwood, prized for its rich variety of grain, color, and other natural variations, is also available. FSC-certified options are available by request and based on market availability.

Insidesign offers all the components needed for stairs: banisters, ballusters, finials, newel posts, and treads. Doors are available to complement any interior, with lited, louver, mirror, panel, rail and glass, solid wood, and stile and rail options. Our architectural mouldings include all the elements needed to finish out any interior, including base mould, casing, chair rail, crown backer and mould, mullions, panel mould, and trim mould.

Wood case goods from our select manufacturers offer superior fit and finish, beautiful detailing, and breadth of choice in style, function, and material. Our cabinetry specialists are well versed in the application of each cabinetry type, whether designing for a renovation or new construction. Our cabinetry is built of solid wood or structurally stable engineered wood. Framed construction (1) allows any door-front option, while frameless construction (2) allows for easier access to the cabinet interior.
