We have never failed to complete a project we have been awarded. Allen Fleming started this company in 1955 in his hometown of Decatur, Indiana when he purchased a single axle dump truck and a crawler dozer. Within a year a backhoe and a grading tractor were purchased to expand the types of projects that could be performed. Allen Fleming incorporated as a sub-chapter S corporation in 1972 and named the firm Fleming Excavating Inc.
We're very highly diversified. When it comes to digging, there's not much we can't do or won't do. We build residential subdivisions, we do commercial and industrial site development, we build roads, we do airport work, and we do municipal sewer and water work. For site development projects we normally provide demolition, clearing, earth moving, erosion control, sanitary sewer installation, storm sewer installation, water/fire main installation, hauling and placing of aggregate.
