Amicon Construction, Inc. has been a great partner to work with, and The Original Mattress Factory, Inc. has been working with them for the last five years. We have worked on several projects from a complete buildout of a store down to a small store dcor remodel. With Amicon as our General Contractor, projects have been completed on time and on budget, and - most importantly - our worksites have been safe and accident free. Amicon understands the importance of our business and our need to stay open during construction.
Amicon contracts as a General contractor on private projects. From private invitation only, to negotiated lump sum and cost plus projects, Amicon provides General Contracting services for clients managing all aspects of the construction process. In addition to our management capabilities, Amicon has the ability to self-perform portions of the construction work. Amicon self-performs several portions of the actual "bricks and mortar" work on any project. These trades include: metal studs and drywall, acoustical ceilings, and concrete installation.
Bruce Baum, a professional civil/structural engineer together with his construction team provides expertise to the project. In addition, he can offer most appropriate building methods for structural integrity. He also has the expertise to analyze suitable building sites for any given project. Amicon has worked with and cultivated professional relationships with numerous design and engineering companies. Amicon will assemble the most qualified professionals and offer a complete turnkey design/build proposal to the owner.
Amicon believes that the most significant factor impacting the control of quality standards, uniformity of space design, budget, phasing and timeliness of delivery is the Owner, Architect/Engineer, CM partnership and the centralization of the communication in the partnership. In all CM projects, Amicon sees itself as the liaison between programming/design and construction. As such, we feel that it is important that Amicon takes a leadership role I that process and act as a communication link between both the design and construction process as well as the CM partners.
