As a general contractor in the hospitality construction industry, we consider ourselves innovators-pushing the boundaries of aggressive schedule development, creative problem solving, and unmatched client service. From pre-bid to completion, we harness the depth of our expertise on every project. At First Finish, we develop unique means and methods for every project. Our foresight and attention to detail translates into an unparalleled approach that not only ensures the successful delivery of a project, but allows us to better meet our clients' needs.
We know delivering projects on time is a high priority for our clients. That is why we offer detailed schedules that account for necessary coordination and communication by all team members throughout the entire duration of the project. The Little Nell project saw the renovation of 92 guest rooms and corridors in an accelerated schedule of just 12 weeks. No other general contractor could meet the proposed schedule. Significant millwork and door assemblies were fabricated off-site, resulting in construction efficiencies that directly impacted the schedule.
It's no mistake that our successful track record is reflective of our experience that spans decades. At First Finish we dedicate time to detailed, up front estimating, planning, and collaboration to mitigate project risk and ensure positive outcomes. Our clients know they can trust us to deliver exceptional work on time, every time, no matter the scope. Whether in D.C. or Miami, some of the most exciting restaurants are found in hotels, and we know what it takes to convert back-of-house offices into new kitchen installations for celebrity chefs.
At First Finish, we use a team approach for preconstruction. By employing the creative ideas of our in-house experts, we are able to provide our clients with cost and time-saving solutions before the job begins. The Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas project had a preconstruction schedule of 8 weeks. Preconstruction allowed for the development of an effective logistics plan to manage working in a remote, mountainous area. The result was the successful simultaneous completion of both the interior and exterior work.
Aside from the cost of acquiring a property, we know the second largest element of risk for our clients is the renovation that follows. At First Finish, it's the work we do up front with multiple team members that enables us to catch the unforeseen and ensure our clients see the full picture. Various conceptual budgets during the preconstruction phase were developed for the Lord Baltimore Hotel renovation project. Upon aligning the design with the budget, two model rooms were constructed. These model rooms were reviewed, and the scope of work was refined several times to ensure that the rooms met the stringent needs of guests.
At First Finish, our success is closely tied to our environmental contributions and social involvement. We look beyond the industry, as we strive to provide the maximum impact to our local communities. First Finish works closely with community organization A Wider Circle (www.awidercircle.org) in their fight to lift people out of poverty, most recently offering construction services for the establishment of the new Center for Professional Development. The center is a support hub that provides business attire for professional meetings, classes associated with email resume writing and career building techniques, and holds job fairs for employment opportunities.
We take pride in our service-oriented and relationship-focused approach to a project. At First Finish, we care for the clients' bottom lines, finding solutions to minimize revenue displacement as well as guest impact. We incorporate that into the services we provide. Through our detail-oriented approach and experienced perspective to planning and problem solving, we think far beyond the project at hand to offer our clients only the best results. At First Finish, we use a team approach for preconstruction.
