East Coast Lawn offers excellent lawn care services in Frederick, Gaithersburg, and the surrounding areas. We take the work and worry out of having a lush, green lawn. This service should be considered yearly. It opens up compacted soil, which allows your lawn to breathe and absorb nutrients and water. We use a triple blend of turf-type tall fescue seed, blended specifically for this region and applied at 8 to 10 pounds per 1,000 square feet. This service helps to create a healthier, thicker lawn and a more expansive root system.

Our tree and shrub care is designed to protect your ornamental trees and shrubs from a host of problems that can occur throughout the growing season. Your expensive shrubs are especially vulnerable to insect and disease problems in our area, mostly due to harsh weather patterns with humidity and moisture.

To answer this question, we at East Coast Lawn consider four factors: climate, grass type, the fertilizer being used, and how you want your lawn to look. To keep your lawn looking its best, we strongly suggest that we fertilize your lawn four times a year. Conversely, even if you don't want a good-looking lawn, you should at least let us fertilize twice a year for your turf's sake. Cool-season grasses tend to have two growing periods. The first is after the lawn's return from winter dormancy. The second is during the early fall, when temperatures moderate and droughts and heat waves are typically gone (usually after late August).

Regular professional lawn care will keep your lawn beautiful and healthy, free of pests and growing vigorously. A carpet of healthy turf will show off your home to its best advantage, increasing your property's curb appeal and overall value. Properly cared for, your lawn can also have a positive impact on your health and the environment we all share. One person can get all of their daily oxygen from just 625 square feet of healthy grass. This means that an average-sized, healthy lawn of 7,500 square feet can provide enough oxygen for 12 people.
