Trimming is done for a number of reasons. Canopy raising is the removal of lowerbranches which allows more sunlight to get to the grass and makes your house more visible (which increases safety and curb appeal). Thinning is done to allow more sunlightto flow through the tree and also allows wind to flow through (which decreases the chances of your tree being damaged in a storm). Deadwood removal is done for the health of the tree and also for your safety. Selective branch removal is the removal of a certain branch that is causing you problems.
Snow is beautiful, but sometimes it can cause some real damage. This sweet bay magnolia was severely damaged in last night's storm by a larger tree that lost a lead above it.
Another great day working at the Plaza. They don't have the biggest trees, and the best environment to grow in, but we do our best to make them look great and keep them healthy in their urban enviroment.
Bill Cook and Matthew Roush spent the day testing safe trees to hide in Belton during this evenings storms. Good thing we safely removed this tree before the storms hit.
