Rain-A-Way Exteriors, Inc. is a family owned and operated business that offers complete Roofing, Gutter, Siding, and Window Services for both Residential and Commercial customers. Since 1962, we have prided ourselves on offering quality products and installations that we are happy to stand behind, offering a 5 yr.

Along with his wife, Dorothy, V.L. operated the business under the name V.L. Castor Construction Co. In 1962 Mr. Castor bought the first seamless gutter machine that was used in our area. In 1969 he incorporated the business under the name Rain-A-Way Gutter Co., Inc. In 1970, V.L's grandson and current owner, Darrell Sams, began working with his grandpa at the business. In 1978 Darrell purchased the company from his grandfather. He has operated it ever since then, following the same honest, fair and quality minded business practices that he learned working alongside his grandpa.

We pride ourselves on the quality and craftsmanship that is used on each roof installation. Our installers have been trained, based on the Certainteed installation manual, and are frequently updated on any changes in the industry. We are proud to offer a 5 Year labor/installation warranty for your new roof system. Rain-A-Way Exteriors has undergone a rigorous process to attain the distinction of SELECT ShingleMaster Contractor- a credential issued to only the top 1% of the profession. This accreditation allows us to provide extended, transferable warranties.

Rain-A-Way Exteriors is certified with GenFlex Roofing Systems for EPDM and TPO roof systems. We are also certified with Certainteed for modified asphalt roof systems. EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) in standard black 60 mil is the most popular product, but TPO in White is becoming much more popular. TPO and smooth modified asphalt with an aluminum coating is more grease resistant than EPDM for restaurant use. Rain-A-Way Exteriors is the preferred roofing contractor for area Arby's Restaurants.

Rain-A-Way Exteriors offer James Hardie fiber cement siding products in either prefinished ColorPlus or primed materials that require painting by a paint contractor. James Hardie products are for those customers wanting the real look of wood but without the maintenance of wood. Many profiles are available including wood shingle look panels. When ColorPlus products are requested all corner and window trims are installed with a hidden steel clip system that eliminates the need for face nailing. Matching caulk and aluminum drip caps are part of the finish system.

We can install roofing systems from Eco Star, Decra, Tamko Metal Works, and DaVinci Roofscapes. The next time you are visiting Kings Island see the DaVinci synthetic slate system we installed on the Banshee ride and the restroom building next to it. Most metal roofing is commercial but on occasion metal roofs are incorporated into a residential roof. Bay roofs are often covered with painted or copper standing seam panels. Our newest offering in metal roofing is the Matterhorn Metal Roof system. The variety of benefits offered by Matterhorn metal roof systems allows homeowners to upgrade their homes with products of lasting value that are MADE IN THE USA.

Rain-A-Way Exteriors provides new installation and repairs for any type of roof including asphalt, metal, slate, tile, and synthetic products. Asphalt shingles are the most popular and widely used product, largely due to the fact that they are generally the more economical choice.

Accessing your gutters for cleaning is not a safe do-it-yourself project. Most homeowners do not know how to safely set up a ladder, and it can be expensive to purchase a quality ladder. Rain-A-Way Exteriors recommends Xtreme Gutter Guard as our best performing product. Xtreme features surgical grade stainless steel micromesh interlocked onto an aluminum substrate. This system prevents all leaves and debris from entering the gutter including pine needles and roof shingle granules. Debris that lies on top of the mesh simply blows off with a gentle wind.

The Petit hanger is the heaviest duty hanger available on the market, and since gutters pulling loose are the biggest repair issue, we feel that this is the most important part of our installation. A 2 3/4″ coated screw is used and secured into truss tails 2′ on center or rafter tails 32″ on center. Mitered gutter corners are hand cut, fastened together, then sealed using superior Geocel 2320 sealant. Rain-A-Way offers a commercial size 7″ gutter, produced by Metal Panel Systems, available in aluminum or steel with a Kynar 500 paint finish.
