We are a 4th generation family owned and operated tree service company and we are proud of the fact that we own all of our equipment and we do not subcontract work. We are fully insured and a member of the Massachusetts Arborists Association (MAA) and the Tree Care Industry Association, Inc. In addition to our residential and commercial tree removal services, we also offer tree pruning and trimming, stump grinding and removal, stump excavation services, tree assessments, storm damage services and emergency services.
Community Tree Service, Inc. was established in Arlington, MA in 1943 by Myles J. Hogan. After serving two years in WWII, Myles returned from Germany to pick up his tree career in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, where his son and grandson continue tree services today. We have completed thousands of residential jobs along with contracts for Commonwealth of Massachusetts, city of Lowell, Boston (MDC), Boston Edison, Mass Electric, New England Power and many other towns and institutions over the past 70+ years.
