Since 1968 we have provided the Connecticut area with trustworthy and reliable service. A family owned business, we currently do a thousand jobs per year and expect nothing but the best, and you shouldn't either. Our work is guaranteed to your satisfaction. Thank you for visiting our website and we look forward to serving your tree service needs.

A layer of mulch in a planting bed helps suppress weeds, retains soil moisture, insulates soil to reduce winter injury and gradually improves the soil's physical condition. Not all organic mulch is best for your landscape plants and trees. Mulch textured too fine may compact, reducing the important exchange of gases and water penetration. Coarse-textured mulches are less resistant to water erosion and weed suppression and are expensive. Some dyed mulches contain demolition debris, pressure-treated lumber or worst!

Trees in the wild don't need fertilizing, so why should yours? Because they might be not only under nourished, but under stress. Your trees don't receive the rich nutrients the wood floor provides to trees in the forest. Your trees also have to compete for whatever nutrients are available in the soil, which provide for the lawn and other plantings. Apart from poor soil, there could be other stresses, improper Ph, too little water, too much water or environmental pollution. Your answer is to allow one of our arborists to assess your tree's health and to treat your trees to ensure for a long and healthy life!

We usually use our crane for very large and difficult tree removal projects. As you can see in the photos below, clients have asked us to do all kinds of things with our crane including relocating immense trees with roots attached, and even moving a helicopter!

There are many reasons to prune your trees! You can have them pruned to remove deadwood or repair storm damage to ensure their health. Or have your trees shaped for better balance, appearance or to redirect them for better growth, including fruit production. Call today for a free estimate so one of our certified arborists can assess your trees!

Large or difficult tree removal in sensitive locations is our specialty. We have a strong commitment to leaving your property in the same condition in which we found it. In order to protect your property during tree removal, we use our crane to surgically dismantle the tree and remove it safely from your property. Costs for tree removal vary by the size of the tree, where it's located on your property and obstacles around the tree. Please call 860-688-1603 for a free estimate.
