We're looking forward to working with you. Siding is the outer jacket a house. It is meant to repel moisture, insects and protect from the effects of weather. It is as a key element in the architectural splendor of the structure and will directly influence its property value. It may be attached directly to the building's structure, or to an transitional layer of wood (boards, planks, plywood, oriented strand board) called sheathing. In an older or historic home restoring or preserving the original siding is an important element in bringing the home back to its original splendor.

We're looking forward to working with you. Gutters, or rain gutters as they are called are a slender drain which collects rainwater from the roof of your house and diverts it away from the dwelling, through the downspouts. The gutter is actually part of a system which all must work together to make sure the water is successfully diverted away. Typically the gutter is hung on a fascia board at the eave of a dwelling and is slightly pitched so the rainwater rolls toward the outlet to flow out the downspout.

We're looking forward to working with you. I own a very old house in Farmington that has had additions before. I searched for a company that specialized in old home additions and found Renaissance Restorations, Inc. in Birmingham. I called and talked to a friendly guy, Mr. Craig who was the owner and he told me it would be no problem for his company to do a nice job and that their experience would make my addition look like it had been built with the house. Mr. Craig came out and gave us a great price and with his architect the design worked well for a master suite addition.

Looks good but. I bought my house from someone who used this company approximately 6/7 years ago. I found the front pouch trim shoved under the side porch, and never put back on. Cheap Home Depot wood spindles and wood have rotted out, and require extensive yearly work. Sight lines do not match up. The both sets of stairs angle back to the house and have rotted. They were put in wrong and replacing them will require removing and replacing most if everything they did. Pieces of the porch were cut short and hastily put together. $22,000 is to much to pay for the work that was done. I need more restoration work too. But, unless my house is put back together and fixed (like in the first place), Free OF CHARGE (meaning mostly the front porch trim and steps), sorry, I doubt I will use this company. I can deal with stuff I can reach. But I can't take the chance of them messing up the gingerbread peak of a 135 year old historical home, 60' up.
