OJB Landscape Architecture is a collective landscape and urban planning practice inspired to create beauty and find unexpected moments in the natural world. Founded in 1989 by James Burnett, FASLA in Houston and led today by Burnett and his partners in five offices across the country, OJB values the human condition and the importance of community. The work affirms the public realm as our shared responsibility and a place for discovery, engagement, and change. Transforming public spaces is central to our mission.

In our residential projects, we focus on bringing the client's vision to life with a design that complements the architecture and captures the spirit and beauty of the site. We carefully consider the site's unique topography, planting with a rich array of materials to create an incredible sensory experience. Our designs include elegant resort-like spaces with amenities such as pools, water features, fire features, outdoor kitchens and entertainment areas for leisure and relaxation. OJB's residential projects have received several American Society of Landscape Architect's Honor Awards.

Thoughtfully designed street level entries, gardens, plazas, terraces, and streetscapes offer layered sensory experiences that draw shoppers in.
