The County of San Luis Obispo Planning and Building Department held a design competition for Secondary Dwellings of 800 sq.ft. This was an effort by all involved to help provide some much needed affordable housing in this area. Unfortunately, the County discontinued this program some years ago due to low demand and also most people not being satisfied that they couldn't even make minor changes to the plans.
