A new informal entertaining and family area was designed for this Bunker Hill Village residence. The exposed roof framing and natural stone floor contributed to the rustic "lodge" atmosphere. The existing pool and outdoor terraces are accessible from this room which creates a semi-enclosed courtyard. Completed in 2002, the project consisted of master-planning three urban lots into a cluster of spaces for family activities and the addition of a large veranda for outdoor entertaining. The two 1920-era bungalows were renovated to provide exercise, media, relaxation, and private areas for the family and guests.
