Welcome to the official web site of the East Tennessee Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIAET). We hope to give you an overview of the AIA, serve as a guide to architectural services and the construction process, help users find just the AIA architect for their projects, and service our AIA East Tennessee Members. We also aim to serve as a resource about architecture and as a vehicle for discussing the issues affecting our community today.
This section will help you find a local AIA Architect and will also provide information to help select which architect to hire. Remember: architects with the AIA designation take more continuing education courses each year than is required of the RA (Registered Architect) designation, which means a higher commitment to health, safety and welfare of the public and professional responsibility, ethics and practice. The AIA Firm Directory helps you locate firms in your area whose architects are AIA members.
Sponsor the AIA-S at Design Feed! Your sponsorship will allow up to 10 AIA-Student members to attend a Design Feed free of charge. What student isn't on a budget and doesn't love a free meal? Your architectural firm will be acknowledged from the podium. Additionally, you can designate an Emerging Professional from your firm to introduce the speaker, with the added perquisites of being at the dinner for the speaker the night prior in order to get to know them personally. Pairing with a speaker/month will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
