Tate Hill Jacobs Architects, Inc. is a full-service architectural design firm located in the heart of Lexington, KY. We have completed projects in multiple states and numerous counties across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Since our establishment by Sarah House Tate in 1975, Tate Hill Jacobs Architects has served over 500 clients with projects in educational, institutional, public, commercial, and residential sectors. Tate Hill Jacobs Architects places emphasis on the investment of good design with solutions that integrate building design with site-specific program requirements.
Ms. Jacobs began practicing Architecture in 1981, becoming a Principal at Tate Hill Jacobs Architects in 1993. She distinguishes herself as a principal who is genuinely passionate about architecture and historic preservation. Margaret has completed numerous comprehensive renovation, adaptive reuse, and selective materials preservation projects of historic buildings. Her many years of service on the Historic Preservation Review Board and her time as a member of Preservation Kentucky's Board of Directors provides her with a clear understanding in the differences between renovation, restoration, preservation, adaptive reuse, and rehabilitation.
Ms. Littrell became principal at Tate Hill Jacobs Architects in January 2020 after serving as a senior associate. While an undergraduate student at the UK College of Design, Katrina cut her teeth in architecture working as an intern at Tate Hill Jacobs. Upon graduation, she received the AIA Henry Adams medal for academic excellence, after which she attended the University of Pennsylvania to obtain her Masters in Architecture. Kentucky called her home and she came back to begin a career as an architect in Lexington, focusing primarily on school design.
